I recently led a poetry workshop at Voices Israel's Poetry By The Sea Residential on May 6-7, 2018, at the King Solomon Hotel in Netanya, Israel. The topic of my workshop: Reconciling the ‘private’ and the ‘public’ in our poetry (in an era of “identity politics”). Everyone was inspired and the subsequent discussion, analysis (of poems) and exercises could have continued for a couple of hours more.
Additionally, I was honored to present awards at the ceremony for the annual Reuben Rose Poetry Contest. It was a wonderful overnight
retreat, topped off by our room's balcony view overlooking the sea.
